Tit for Tat

Absent any political party affiliation leaves me free to assess the character of each.

Free to ask, why, after over four years of juvenile anger, are liberals so much angrier than conservatives, still? The left is in command, and they have the weapons of social media and MSM at their beckoning backs.

It begs the question, why such prolonged vicious anger when their President signs one executive order after another, undoing what the right had done?

Why does the left’s anger toward the right not abate?

Anger is suspicious, an emotional response, frequently indicative of internal turmoil, seldom based on reason and logic, often employed as a distraction.

It is hate and anger heavily lopsided, but it’s not all one-sided, by any stretch. It’s become a blow-for-blow circus, and it’s destroying the country with a pandemic of enmity.

Where this extreme political polarization began depends on who you ask but should now be irrelevant—the argument of which only widens the divide.

Only once in our history has such degree of disrespecting opposition existed—the sort that can spark a civil war.

Don’t think it can’t happen; it happens all the time. I believe we are on the verge.

I see no course-correcting concessions from liberals or conservatives—only steamy anger and frustration spewing over us from the bowels of both.

And why does this madness fervently spread to everyone on the ground, now poisoned with similar rage, irredeemably pitted, blue against red, race against race, atheist against theist, friend against friend, family against family?

The kettle boils, and we’re the fattened feast.

The country’s gone stark-raving mad with selfish, uncompromising antipathy.

Has the political outlandishness taken over every mind?

Objectively, it all seems so theatrically orchestrated, so over the top, that I ask, is divisional disdain the goal?

If so, who or what is behind the ploy and why?

I believe the toxic tentacles of subversion run deep and wide, a long-running attack different from the traditional means of world conquest.

I may be delusional.

Or at best, overthinking.

Merely speculating, I can think of only one foreign entity so filled with fear, hate, and greed, so well positioned and possessed with the underhanded wherewithal, the propagandistic prowess, the technological sovereignty, the military intelligence to execute their demonic determination to destroy and control the USA, from within.

And it’s not Russia. Although they can certainly play hell, they lack the deep diabolical desires demonstrated by the CCP.

  1. The political fractioning is as divided as it was at the time of the Civil War and it was so divided in 1776. Trump’s favorite POTUS was Andrew Jackson, a president who contributed to the advancement of the South in terms of genocide and innate racist fundamentals. However, both parties were essentially strong believers in extending the influence of the US abroad in accordance with the Monroe Doctrine. Today, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are both strong supporters of Israel, both align along military and security lines. I look at the Israeli government and Washington D.C. as being the two districts that keep the ideological line increased even more along with those military and those security lines. Russia and China are close trading systems, the back pockets of each government, deep into the other countries’ respective pockets. Trade continues to be the chief concern of all three economic systems. A hot war gets in the way of greater trade, but each of those economic systems keep a “defense” budget well lubricated with trading currency.
Each system also keeps its respective enemies incarcerated in order to blunt the blade of war as much as needed to keep their economic systems “healthy.”

    1. Until my later decades, I always expected better out of, not just the government of the USA, but better of its people. All its people. (How stupid, right?) That expectation as well is long dead. I was deceived in my youth, perhaps willingly.

And while I’ll maintain that the US had the potential to be a great country regardless of its more than shameful beginnings, it had made significant strides. Any meaningful change always comes slow. And that’s not entirely the fault of the government, no matter how we like to assign blame.

Now, we’re witnessing the beginnings of a reverse, some by its citizenry. For example, in Oakland, California, a privately funded program gives low-income residents $500.00 per month “with no strings attached.” Unless you’re white. How could that possibly stir any animosity among the races?

According to Statista, the number of whites killed by police has been for at least five years running nearly double the number of blacks killed by police. But no mention of that in the news. And the mere remark here might suggest I’m defending the police. I’m not. And coming from a white man of European descent, the statement is likely deemed politically incorrect if not racist. Good thing I’m not a Christian, or it would be doubly bad.

As a side note, regarding police brutality, I read somewhere, I don’t recall where. The police have the highest percentage of psychopaths applying to become cops, even higher than politics. It does explain a lot. But it also stated most of those get weeded out. Thank goodness, right.

Unless patterns take a monumental turn—and I in no way expect them to—I’ll contend, the people of the United States have the government they deserve. Collateral damage is a bitch, though.

As always, thanks for your insightful comment, Bill.
